Help
Short answers to the questions that come up most, including the one about accounts.
You can design and preview without an account. Exporting a file requires a signed-in account with export credits, and accounts are currently invitation-only.
Questions
- Can I try it without an account?
- Yes — you can design and preview without an account, and nothing is saved to the server while you are signed out. What needs an account is exporting: exporting a file requires a signed-in account with export credits, and accounts are currently invitation-only, created by the administrator. Designing, measuring and looking at the 3D view never asks you to sign in.
- Which slicers work?
- Any slicer that opens STL. Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer, Cura and PrusaSlicer all do.
- What material should I print in?
- PETG is what these racks are designed around: it holds its shape near warm equipment. PLA creeps — it deforms slowly under load — at the temperatures a rack with a running server reaches, so a part that fitted on the day you printed it can sag months later.
- What do I get when I export?
- A binary STL, and a true-size 2D drawing for a design you have exported. The STL is what your slicer opens. The drawing is an ISO 5457 sheet — A3 for a single view, A2 for all of them — with an ISO 7200 title block, first-angle projection and hidden lines removed from the mesh; it opens in a new tab, and prints at 100% or saves from there.
- What does one export credit cover?
- One credit covers the STL files for every part of one saved design version, and that version's fit-test coupon. Downloading that version again, in either kind, is free.
- Do I need to repair the STL before printing?
- No. Geometry is built with manifold-3d, which guarantees a watertight solid, so the file slices without repair.
- Will it fit my rack?
- Only the fit-test coupon can answer that. Racks in this class have no single published standard, so the profile you start from is a starting point to verify rather than a promise. Print the coupon, bolt it to the rack, and change the numbers if it does not line up — the fit-test and print guide says what to change, and in what order.
